Saturday, 11th April

These two Saturday events will be the first time that The Holy Moly Theatre and the upstairs area of the building will be open to the public for many, many years. The building was originally built as a
Masonic Temple in 1923, and it is on the National Register of Historic Buildings. The new owners of the building, Carla Maxwell and Adrian Kosky, have recently completed a total revitalisation and have affectionately renamed it, The Holy Moly.

3-5 p.m.  The Juke Joint Jam Academy will be in full swing upstairs in the newly revitalised Holy Moly Theatre. Bring your instruments and join the Jam! There will be different jams in different rooms; so beginners, intermediate, and advanced players will all be welcomed. Prominent Blues musicians like Jon Parry, Rich Del Grosso, and Randy “Da Bones Man” Seppala will help to keep the music flowing. This event will be free to join or enjoy watching.

Although the Juke Joint Jam academy Saturday afternoon event in The Holy Moly Theatre is free admission, donations towards the development and furnishing of the new theatre would be very much appreciated on the day.

7-10 p.m. Harp, Hart & Bones (JJF 2015 wristband required)
As part of the Juke Joint Festival 2015, The Holy Moly Theatre will be holding its first wristband event. The Juke Joint Festival will present “Harp, Hart & Bones” together with guest performers, on the main stage. This event requires a Juke Joint Festival wristband to enter.

Please note: The "Juke Joint Jam Academy" is a related event and not affiliated with the Juke Joint Festival or the non-profit Clarksdale Downtown Development Association.
